ANRA Technologies in Korea at the 2024 Jeju Global Future Aerospace Confesta

The 2024 Jeju Global Future Aerospace Confesta, held from October 8-9, brought together global leaders in aerospace and Urban Air Mobility (UAM). Jeju Island—off the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula—is a self-governing province that has become a focal point for future mobility projects. Its strategic autonomy allows for testing innovative solutions in infrastructure, tourism, and sustainable transport.

Representing ANRA Technologies, Brent Klavon, Chief Strategy Officer, presented on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). Klavon highlighted ANRA’s expertise in developing scalable airspace management solutions and emphasized how seamless AAM operations will integrate with traditional air traffic systems. A particularly compelling aspect of Klavon’s talk was his discussion of the potential impact of AAM technologies on one of the busiest flight routes in the world—the route between Jeju Island and Gimpo International Airport in Seoul. This corridor was ranked first in the world in 2023 as the Busiest Route by Capacity (source: OAG Schedules Analyser), serving over 13 million two-way seats annually.

With air taxi services and drone-based cargo systems, UAM technologies could complement existing air travel by offering fast, eco-friendly alternatives for short-haul flights. This aligns with ANRA’s vision of future mobility, where AAM frameworks coexist seamlessly with current air traffic control systems and improve regional transportation infrastructure.

ANRA Technologies’ involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to shaping the AAM ecosystem in Asia Pacific and leading the conversation on airspace integration. Events like the Jeju Confesta offer a crucial platform for industry leaders to align on the next steps toward realizing the promise of AAM.
