The NC Advanced Mobility Symposium: A Confluence Expertise

The inaugural NC Advanced Mobility Symposium held on October 5-6, 2023, at RTI International’s Research Triangle Park campus brought together leaders from various sectors to explore and advance advanced mobility initiatives, spanning air, ground, and maritime transportation. In this post, we’ll highlight the significance of this exclusive event and the pivotal role ANRA Technologies played, featuring insights from their Chief Strategy Officer, Brent Klavon.

The NC Advanced Mobility Symposium was an unprecedented gathering, uniting industry, academia, and government stakeholders to discuss and accelerate advanced mobility initiatives in North Carolina. This event provided a platform for leaders to engage, collaborate, and contribute to the ongoing transportation revolution. By offering a range of sessions, the symposium allowed experts to exchange perspectives on the future of transportation and mobility.

The symposium served as a critical platform for stakeholders to identify opportunities, tackle challenges, influence policy, and work toward a future that’s more accessible, sustainable, and equitable. The focus extended to all aspects of mobility, encompassing air, ground, and maritime transportation.

ANRA Technologies, a pioneering force in Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), played a central role at the symposium. Their Chief Strategy Officer, Brent Klavon, participated in a panel discussion titled “Bolstering Mobility Infrastructure.” This panel highlighted the pressing need for infrastructure improvements to support the advancement of mobility solutions. Here are some of the key topics covered:

Electrification: The transition to electric mobility is a pivotal step toward sustainability. Discussions revolved around the expansion of electric vehicle charging networks and the integration of electric aircraft into urban air mobility solutions.

Traffic Management: Efficient traffic management systems are essential to reduce congestion and improve transportation efficiency. The panel explored strategies to optimize traffic flow in urban and suburban areas.

Cybersecurity: As mobility becomes more interconnected and reliant on digital technology, cybersecurity is paramount. Panelists discussed the importance of robust cybersecurity measures to protect the integrity and safety of advanced mobility systems.
