ANRA Technologies Extends NASA Advanced Air Mobility Effort with National Campaign Sweep of Project Awards

ANRA Technologies extends its participation in NASA’s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) project with its selection to participate in National Campaign 1 (NC-1).  This win marks ANRA continuous AAM support, beginning with NC-Developmental Test  (X3) in 2020 and the recently announced award for NC-2 for Community Planning and Integration activities.

For NC-1, ANRA will be a Provider of Services for UAM (PSU) technology to include X4 – a collection of simulated AAM tests in a relevant virtual environment. These tests will explore new methods for data exchanges between the regulatory authority and the service providers. ANRA will collaborate with multiple air vehicle manufacturers to simulate the NC-1 scenarios utilizing aero models of their aircraft.

ANRA is honored to support all three NASA efforts that started with the original NC-DT and now NC-1 and NC-2 as a Provider of Service for UAM.Our airspace management solution will be exercised across a broad spectrum of use cases with our industry partners and NASA as we develop the future of air mobility.

NC-1 is anticipated to provide a virtual “proving ground” for airspace system developers to individually demonstrate the design readiness and robustness of their systems. Airspace simulations will help inform standards  development, desired future airspace services, and airspace management system requirements.

In addition to the X4 simulation, NASA anticipates providing an opportunity for airspace partners to test and demonstrate their AAM airspace services and capabilities in a live flight test campaign of AAM representative flight operations as part of the NC-1 airspace activities. These NASA-provided flight tests will allow airspace partners such as ANRA to apply the experience and lessons learned from the X4 simulation and verify system operations and data exchanges in live flight tests.
