ANRA selected to present at ICAO’s DRONE ENABLE in Montreal

ANRA is one of the few companies selected to speak and present its UTM solution at Drone Enable, ICAO’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Industry Symposium, which is being convened by the International Civil Aviation Organizations (ICAO) in September 2017 in Montreal Canada.

Through the symposium, ICAO will serve as the global facilitator as States, industry, academia and other interested stake holders collaborate on conceptualizing a common regulatory framework to support integration of unmanned aircraft into the national airspace.

ANRA CEO Amit Ganjoo will be presenting in the stream titled UTM – Registration, identification and tracking. This session will showcase potential registration systems that may have global applicability

With the drone market expected to have exponential growth over the next few years and a large numbers of anticipated users, one of the key features would be to have a UTM system that does not require constant human monitoring and surveillance and can still ensure the safety, security and control of the drones in the low-altitude airspace.

The system should be capable of providing the human stakeholders the ability to remotely identify a UAS and make strategic decisions related to mission management whether it is launch, execution, and/or termination of airspace operations.  The procedures and interfaces also need to ensure that only authenticated and approved UAS can operate in the given airspace.

The focus of a remote identification methodology should be for public or private entities concerned about a drone flight in close proximity to report an identifier number to the authorities, who would then have the tools to investigate the complaint without infringing on operator privacy.
